The Party is over...sang to the tune of "The Partys Over"

Las Cruces - The Covid19 Virus - and friends

We have been in Las Cruces now since 11th of November 2019.  It has been a great winter until March 15th or so when the Pandemic hit town and the country and the world.

the gang is all here

Then there was Ms Cat...we were here so long that she got pregnant and had her kitten/s and is now lactating at our Happy Hours.

Once she brought her baby by and that was a highlight of our time here...

This kitty would drop, and i mean drop off the 12 foot fence and join our Happy Hour each night hoping to get some food or drink.

There was Lee Allem our tech guy and lover of cooking.  We never suffered for a meal.
Lee taught us how to cook in the Instant Pots everybody had.

Luckily I just happened to get one for Mothers Day, and do i love it.  I made Oatmeal first, second i made spaghetti dinner and third i hard boiled 6 eggs.  Wow, magic.

I have made my second batch of oatmeal and looking forward to making Tuna Noodle Casserole.  Not easy when you cant just go to the grocer.

Lee cooked a spaghetti squash in the Insta Pot and it really came out great.

Then there was Kathy Carson and Navi.  They kept us sane and we got our doggie fixes with Navi.  It was always the best seeing Kathy out in her chair with Navi and then Andrea and Charlie and Lee would join in and we would bring up the rear for our Happy Hour each night.

We did get some dinners out picked up from the local restrurants.  They were delicious.

Charlie and Andrea Putnam, the hearts of our group.  Always helpful and great conversations...

We will miss you all dear friends, now we are alone.  Lee left us a week ago to return home to Salt Lake City and home.  Kathy left a couple of days ago with Navi for Texas, Texas and Texas slowly on her way to Ohio for a while, and today Charlie and Andrea left for the West Coast and the kids and just chill out till this pandemic is over.

So here we are for a while.  We will be getting ready to leave soon, all great things must come to an end and we are praying for an end to the pandemic and a return to "normalcy" whatever that is.

Stay safe, drive safe, wash your hands and wear a face mask.
Hugs
