Hello
Greetings to Jerry Lemenu.
Jerry was in Belgium in 1977 and made a drawing from a photo of my grandfather Oscar Cloetens.
My grandfather was just died when he was here. We still love the drawing.
Thanks a lot.

Linda,

This feels like another miracle. That you found me through Mary's blog is wonderfully perfect. I would love to connect with you and all my Belgian relatives. That time when I stumbled into Oscar's funeral remains one of the most important experiences of my life. Please contact me at jerry.lemenu@gmail.com

We have much to talk about

Linda,

I hope you see this reply. That trip to Torhout in 1977 was so stunning it was hard to fully absorb. I was taken in by family when I wandered in unannounced the night before your grandfathers funeral. I didn't know he had died, I just suddenly knew I had to be in Torhout. I was treated so well by your family. I have gotten out of touch with everyone there and would like to correct that. My email is jerry.lemenu@gmail.com

Merry Christmas to you Linda and everyone.

Jerry

I see that Jerry has visited Belgium and surrounds and loved every minute of it. We had a bonfire last night and he told us all about this great trip.

I will post pictures. Linda feel free to let me know if you got this.

Hugs
Mary

August 8 The End of a Perfect Ride!

Thanks for hanging in there for Tony, he made the Atlantic and dipped his front tire into the water. The bikers were overjoyed to be at the finish line, but this is just the beginning of a lifelong commitment for them to help others and spread the word! Final statistics for Tony’s bike trip across America Total days: 56 Total biking days: 45 Average miles per day: 75 Total miles: 3322 Less truck driving days and breakdowns (broken spokes, etc): 404 Miles biked by Tony: 3017 (probably among the top 3) Total broken spokes by Tony: 5 Total broken spokes by everyone else: 0 Total flats by Tony: about 13 Total flats by everyone else: unknown – one person only had 3 Total money raised to date: $5,088 which means somewhere in the Democratic Republic of the Congo an entire house will be built with the funds raised by my friends and relatives – THANK YOU!
