April in Las Cruces, sheltering in place with our QuaranTEAM...

We have pretty much been here in Las Cruces New Mexico for the last 6 months, the last 2 sheltering in place with COVID 19.  We came here to build houses for Habitat for Humanity in November.  5 houses to build and usually takes 7 months to complete.  Other than the Pandemic it is a wonderful life.  We will stay here until it is safe to go back home to Michigan and family.

10 feet apart.  Happy Hour at 4:30 daily brings 8 of us together 10 feet apart except for spouses.  We get our drinks and snacks and sit for a couple of hours sharing our days adventures, which could be anything from repairing the toilet to what the UPS driver delivered today.

We are so enjoying this time of quiet and ability to get lots of stuff on Tony's todo list DONE.

Tony's Birthday celebration April 20.  He got his Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Frosting that he always wants for his birthdays.  Andrea let us borrow her 25 year old 'Happy Birthday' Sign for the day.  This is the best place with the best people we could be sheltered with.

Barbacuing ribs dinner.  Once a week or two we have a cook out and it always turns out delicious.

75 degrees and sunny.  So 'She' is what we call her.  And while we were here over the winter we got to know her and feel her and then watch her get pregnant and then get un-pregnant.  We have been unable to find the babies, but i am sure she is taking good care of them.
It's hard to notice but she has the bluest of eyes.

And sunsets to live for...
Not every evening but more often here than at home we have a beautiful sunset.  You will be by the bonfire or just watching TV and God doesn't let you forget that another day is ending when He displays this gorgeous visual and says goodnight.  Then there is goodmorning...

It's hard to believe that some days God loves pinks and reds and then other days he loves oranges and purples...He is so amazing.
