Mankato, Minnesota a city to remember!

We signed up for a Habitat for Humanity Build in Mankato Minnesota because we have very special friends there and thought we could get to see them. We were strangers to Mankato but no longer. Thank you Tony & Kathy F, had a wonderful time in your fair city and want to come back.

Tony F and Tony C were classmates in high school and college so it was great to spend time together. Tony F even came to help us build on our Habitat site. We had such a great time and there are so many bike paths that Tony C was biking every day getting ready for his 'Fuller Center Bike Adventure' this summer of 3,300 miles in 56 days from San Diego to Savannah. It's a fundraiser so anyone that wants to contribute for Tony C can go online if you GOOGLE Fuller Center for Housing you will get to the website for the bike ride and you can donate for Tony C there.

We are having such a great winter vacation, it is coming to an end as we head back to Michigan for a short time, but we have pictures and memories. I hope to update this blog with some fill in.

I got a comment from a wonderful person asking about the Utah Parks and not forgetting Arches. Well we got to Arches and yes it was rare beauty. I am adding a picture here for her benefit.

The Arizona bridge is a  reinforced concrete  structure clad in the original masonry of the 1830s bridge, which was bought by  Robert P. McCulloch  from the  City of London . McCulloch had exterior granite blocks from the original bridge numbered and transported to America to construct the present bridge in Lake Havasu City, a planned community he established in 1964 on the shore of  Lake Havasu . The bridge was completed in 1971 (along with a canal), and links an island in the lake with the main part of Lake Havasu City. This bush is breathtaking also there were a lot of Restaurants and Brewery's around too bad its ...
