Tony and Chris worked on the jobsite in a suburb of Birmingham, Al It is a whole neighborhood of Habitat houses. Sorry Mary V, this is alot like Mobile, lots of great local volunteers and groups coming all the time. This is a healthy, vibrant affiliate.

2012-02-27 Visiting with Chris Cosby

We travelled from Americus, Georgia to Birmingham, Alabama to visit Chris Cosby.  We had a great meal, Barbecue and then got some ice cream for dessert at home.  And speaking of home, here we are and our friend Chris and Lucinda. Great RV Site, just a parking lot near a baseball field, but full hook ups and free WiFi Home Sweet Home Chris Cosby and Lucinda A very beautiful area of Birmingham, AL

Had a great time at our favorite restaurant 'Ruby Tuesdays' with Nancy Barnes and Margaret Yankowski.  Americus is such a nice little small town, it is good to be here for the weekend.

2012-02-24 Update - Detroit-Savannah-Americus

Sorry I have been so lax in updating my blog. So much has happened since Eleanor's passing! We all went to and participated in her funeral in August, and drank till dawn as her friends knew she would have... We have been lots of places since then and went home for the month of December to be with friends for Christmas holidays. We spent 3 beautiful weeks at Don's Detroit property We then went to Chicago for Christmas at Mike and Sophia's place and visited her family at Christmas. It was great seeing Mike, we really miss him alot. We left Michigan and came back to our RV in Brunswick where we worked on two houses until February 24th when we left for Americus, Georgia to see old friends and make new ones. But on our way we stopped in Savannah for Ash Wednesday at the Cathedral and spent some time with our friend Bill Fitzgerald. What a great time we had. Be sure to check out Leopolds Ice Cream Parlor if ever you are in that neck of the woods.
