Our Adventures Continue...

The lady at the gate.  What a site that is up close. A little trivia.  The builders had to use her shoe to enter and build her from the inside. We also visited Ground Zero Memorial, it was moving.

Great walk on the Parkway while Tony was biking. 

Suzanne and Jim, we love em.  Had a great lunch at Cracker Barrel in Johnson City.  Got caught up, made plans for 2013 and then off we go to Frees, TN where there is a rail trail for us to bike.  Stay tuned...

Tony got into a nest of Fire Ants on the Leland Build Site.

We travelled to the local USDA Experimental Cotton Gin to see how it is ginned. What a great place and such great folks showed us how it all works. Leland is a small town but has some big stuff going on here.

Our Favorite Park The Jeff Busby Park on the Trace Free, no hook ups 18 spots, woods and great hiking paths Also great biking. Tony was in the mood so he biked 25 miles. We packed up the RV and headed for Leland, MS and our build. Want to stop back by here soon.

Birmingham, Alabama Civil Rights Institute a great journey back in time. The local School was having a field trip. 16th street Baptist Church where 4 girls were killed in a fire.

Tony and Chris worked on the jobsite in a suburb of Birmingham, Al It is a whole neighborhood of Habitat houses. Sorry Mary V, this is alot like Mobile, lots of great local volunteers and groups coming all the time. This is a healthy, vibrant affiliate.

We travelled from Americus, Georgia to Birmingham, Alabama to visit Chris Cosby.  We had a great meal, Barbecue and then got some ice cream for dessert at home.  And speaking of home, here we are and our friend Chris and Lucinda. Before we leave Americus we wanted to meet Elizabeth Mike & Joy Towsend's new child. Great new person for this world.
